I was using a Tamrac bag for 9 years for my film SLR. So naturally I was leaning towards tamrac when I started looking for DSLR bag. I was buying the XSI+18-55 lens + 55-250 lens +battery charger+couple of filters+flash(in future)+memory cards, manual and some more! But I didn’t want to be too liberal with the size of the bag. It should fit all this as well as it should be as compact as possible. Because when you are traveling, the size of the bag is very important. After an umpteen number of website reads, started visiting all the frys, circuitcity, best buy, wolf etc. When finally I stumbled across this, I instantly knew this was the one bag I was looking for.
-It is soft to touch & beautiful (in fact the first couple of days I was hugging it around until my wife started shouting at me!)
-perfectly padded to be fully safe for all my expensive equipment
-It also has the option to wear it on your waist belt( I was looking for this option too, tough not particular)
There are two cons that I could think of – though these become minor when you actually see this bag.
1. the rough surface of the inside of the shoulder strap is quite rough – I think in the long run it might rub off my shirts.
2. The base: they could have put a couple of rubber strips so that I can peacefully place the bag any where even on dirty surfaces.
All in all, this bag what I have been looking for and more!!
Thank you Lowepro designers!
This bag is a great size for carrying around all day with 2 or 3 lenses.
The bag will mostly be used for comfortably fitting:
1a. Sony dSLR a200 with Tamron 17-50 F/2.8 attached (+ lens hood)
1b. Sony 70-300G (have not checked it with lens hood)
I actually found I can carry this 2 lens kit the other way as well
2a. Sony dSLR a200 with Sony 70-300G attached
2b. Tamron 17-50 F/2.8 (+ lens hood)
This is the reason I got the Nova 170 over the Nova 160, for the greater depth of the bag to allow me to carry it with the 70-300 lens attached, if so desired.
But I found that if I carry it in configuration #1 but remove the Tamron 17-50 lens hood I can also carry:
3. Tamron 90 macro (with Tamron 17-50 lens hood underneath)
And the elastic pocket on the outside allows me to carry an external flash if need be.
I am very pleased with the amount of gear this small, durable bag can carry.
I recently bought a new camera, the Canon EOS Rebel T1i, and needed a new bag to hold and protect my precious equipment. I found this bag on clearance for $35, and bought it after making sure it would fit my new camera. The gear that I store in this bag:
Canon Rebel t1i DSLR
18-55 lens
55-250 lens
battery charger
2 filters
memory cards
extra battery
accessories
All this fits just fine, and there’s actually room for more.
The bag also comes with a built in waterproof cover which I haven’t had a chance to use yet, but could come in handy on a rainy day.
The bag feels great over the shoulder, and has been awesome for several full days of photo taking that I’ve taken it on so far.
Nothing negative to report about this bag for me yet.

• FA ‘looking into’ Neville’s one-fingered gesture at Carlos Tevez • Neville reacted after Tevez celebrated goal in front of dugouts The Football Association have confirmed they are “looking into” Gary Neville’s one-fingered gesture towards Carlos Tevez in last night’s Carling Cup semi-final at Eastlands. Neville was warming up on the touchline as Tevez celebrated scoring by running to the touchline and cupping his ears in front of the two dugouts, apparently in response to the Manchester United captain’s comments that Sir Alex Ferguson was correct to let the Argentina forward leave Old Trafford last summer. Neville’s reaction, captured on camera, triggered more taunts from Tevez. The FA, who wrote to Neville to warn him about his provocative celebration after Michael Owen had scored the winner when the two sides met in September, have now confirmed they will look at photographs of the latest incident. Speaking after the game, Ferguson chose not to question his former player’s…
It's the new Canon line that has HD movies. They show these commercials a lot during football games. Several models have HD movie mode now. Including their highest end Powershots and many DSLR's. The uniqueness comes with the DSLR's though because of the effects and "Looks" that are unique to DSLR's.
Nikon also has DSLR's with HD movie mode.
This is a great example of what can be done. This video has that great SLR look in a video.
That being said it does put a lot of mileage on your camera's sensor. Also one of the big limitations that I've found with DSLR movie modes is not one that I've looked at which covers almost every Canon and Nikon that has HD movie is that the auto focus cannot be employed. So basically your stuck constantly adjusting the focus ring.
is using a "directors finder." So DP and director can find the shot before setting up camera.

Actually a good lens is just as important as a camera. Get a Digital SLR camera like a Nikon (my preference) or a Canon.
For a Nikon or Canon SLR you can expect to spend 500 at the least, and it can go up to 5000.
The Nikon 18-200mm lens is probably one of the best lenses available and it's about 750+ depending on where you look. Good luck
Edit: I forgot to mention. Don't get sucked into the Megapixel myth. A camera with a high megapixel number does not equal a good camera.

ok I’ll check it.. thanks
Uh, my guess, before watching the “How we did it” part… It’s not actually a mirror at all, just a hole in the wall with a frame around it, and they have a guy acting as the reflection. But that’s just my guess.

Hi, can you keep a 13 inch laptop in this bag or just camera and lenses?
Boskone this past weekend was held at the Westin Waterfront in Boston, which has these funky double showerheads that they charmingly call the “Heavenly(R) Shower” (hype aside, they are very nice showers). The picture at right is courtesy of lannalee on Twitter, as I didn’t bring a camera. Why am I telling you this? Because there was a sign glued to the wall in the shower that read: Refresh yourself, restore our world One of your Heavenly(R) Shower heads has been turned off in an effort to minimize water usage and protect one of our most precious natural resources. The smarmy enviroweenieness of this was undercut somewhat by the next paragraph, which explained that you could turn it back on by pushing a little button on the showerhead (you can see one side of it on the lower head in the picture). And also by the fact that it’s a completely stupid statement. Turning off one of the two showerheads does essentially nothing to reduce the water usage. The flow rate of water coming into the…

I'd rather that than see Bush mugging for the camera like a 12 year old every time he's shown something mundane.

You know what’s black and yellow all over, fits in the average mailbox and gets the imaginations of camera junkies running wild? These cards, that’s what. Over the past few days, mysterious cards have begun to arrive in the hands of Nikon users, and while the company’s name is nowhere to be found, the colors and hints are starting to build a case for something new. It seems a countdown from 8 has begun, with the first card stating “I am…” and the second “I am fun….” In case you weren’t aware, Nikon has yet to dabble in the Micro Four Thirds world (or even hint at a competitor like Samsung’s NX range), but whispers of a so-called EVIL lineup have been building steam. Nikon aficionados have pointed out that the countdown will end just prior to a UK press meeting on March 8th, which could very well mean that an all-new compact is just days away from being properly revealed. Or it could be nothing at all. Keep your expectations low — it’s better to be pleasantly surprised than…
Really, no phone, that I know of, can replace a digital camera. They are high resolution, but lack optical zoom (normally only digital) and they use overly cold LEDs for a flash. Also, digital cameras are getting so cheep, I don't know why you would want to pay extra to have one in your phone.

Well I don't know about new because benelli is seems to be a higher end shotgun.Mine is a mossberg used by lawenforcement and the military and it costs $250-300 brand new.It cames with two barrels.I bought my grandfathers used and payed $150 and it came with both barrels.I wouldn't pay more than about $200-250 for it because it's a benelli if he/she asks $300 just keep looking.Unless your rich then it's a question of shape and condition it's in to make it worth the price.
…more usable rear pocket. Also top heavy/unstable with just 7D onboard. Interested in what you make of 200.
awesome review. now i’m sure, lowepro 250 is a good purchase..
So you really need at least 10 or 12 megapixels, lolol. Sony DSC-W300.
13 megapixels, 3X optical zoom. You want very thin, so you can't want a DSLR.
Canon SD880 IS. 4X optical zoom, 10 megapixels. More than 90% of point and shooters do not need 10 megapixels.
PS- I didn't want to write a whole chapter but mitch b said it all.
