Most likely, one of those companies is the maker of the bags you were looking at, as those are the better brands besides the well-known Tamrac and Lowepro.
Does anyone else have the desire for a USB port on their iPhone. Just for thumb drives/camera cards and what not.
I have a Panasonic FX33 – a compact which easily fits in your pocket. It has 4.6 times zoom, which I have used to get photos of insects while on a trip to the Amazon jungle (for larger wildlife, further away from you, a better zoom is required). I also have fantastic photos of wildlife in the Galapagos islands.
The camera has stabilisation (great if you're on a small boat or train, and therefore a bit wobbly), face recognition, easy focussing. It is simple to use and excellent all round.
No matter which camera you choose, I would recommend that you buy a second battery and carry it with you (the FX33 has a flat, special battery for compacts, not the AA type). With the features and the flexibility of digitals – ie zoom, photo review and the fact you can take lots of photos and delete later – you can use up a battery quite quickly (particularly when getting used to the camera). Well i can tell you that the nova is a good quality bag that will last as long as your camera and is very protective for your gear the rain cover is nice touch and no messing if needed in a hurry ! I know where your coming from with the whole come steal me thing though.
I'm not familiar with the crumpler but looks pretty good although i doubt it has padding to match the nova !
If i was to recommend a bag or get another myself I'd go for one of the new billingham range, expensive but they look understated and i think they just make the best camera bags ! Hope thats of some use !
Almost forgot, the nova has space for my slr [ canon, smallish by slr standards] 18- 55 lens , 70- 300 tele cleaning gear, remote switch, extra memory , batteries and the charger . Still room left the small pockets aswell.

I have the Slingshot 200 AW and 300 AW. I modified the interiors using stick-on velcro so that I can carry a big lens across the width, on top of a flash–and get to both from the side, without opening all the way. Very convenient. However, it’s a pain to carry for very long, as it puts all the weight on one shoulder. I’ve switched to a Think Tank Rotation 360 and their belt system because of this.

Doesn't the lens fit IN the tamrac bag? I have a Tamrac Adventure 9 series bag and it holds 2 to 3 lenses inside the bag. Regardless, here's one that included a strap:
