LOL…my mobile phone takes horrible pictures…thats why I got a D406 mega pixels is excellent resolution considering that the first Digital Cameras were something like 1 mega pixelI believe that 6 mega pixels makes excellent 10 X 8 enlargements and even largerI got a 70-300mm zooms lens recently and I was taking a photo of my City Hall…but it had the added effect of all these pretty ladies fixing their hair and showing their best sides etcYes..D40 does have that little bit of magic !
I love my D40 even though I have a D90. There is just something about the pictures it produces. I was out shooting with it last week and some IDIOT said to me when I told him it was only 6 Megapixels “That only has 6 megapixel my mobile phone has 12MP”. His comment was not even worthy of a reply. He was under some strange illusion that his MOBILE PHONE! could take better pictures than my Nikon D40. I walked away and shook my head.
I only got one camera…my D40…I’m still a beginner…Just got a tripod today…for night shots and long exposures…D40 is an excellent camera…and I won’t need another camera for some time yet…It has indeed a certain magic about it…
Soon the spec on cameras like the D3X will be “Entry mode” cameras. I still wont part with my old D40. There is just some magic about it.
Yes..I agree too…Digital electronics are steadily improving and DSLRs will easily surpass the quality of old 35mm…If they have not already surpassed them…
100% AGREE.
You don’t need the D60. If you’re going to upgrade from the D40 (which is apparently a camera that can outperform some of the higher ranking models) then go for the D90.
Can anybody tell me if it’s safe to use a digital camera in a high humidity atmosphere such as a hot house, or other tropical habitat – real or simulated.Much appreciated
i don’t believe any of the digital cameras will get superior untill the sensors match the size of 35mm
35mm was yesterday mate. Honestly I used to hate digital cameras when they first went on the market. Now they are BETTER than 35mm. I chucked my 35mm Camera in the bin. I own a D40 and if I want the picture to be special I take my D90 with me. When digital cameras first came out yes they were poor, Now they are BETTER than 35mm Cameras. I predict that in 10 Years time the “Spec” on cameras like the Nikon D3X will be the “Entry model” cameras. They will keep getting better and better. You watch.

It's pretty easy. You do need to have the USB cable that came with your camera. With it turned off, take any card out of the camera, turn it on to "review" mode (the one that you use to look a computers on the back), plug the usb cable into your camera and computer. You may have to click a menu on the camera for something like "PC mode". A window should pop up on the computer that will allow you to open an explorer window to review the images. Copy them over to your hard drive like the camera was any other hard drive.
(Nikon, Digitalkamera)
I would suggest that you check out the Digital SLR Guide website -
They are geared toward matching a user to an appropriate DSLR using a step by step approach to finding a good match. They provide a number of valuable tools to help sort out the huge amount of information put out by the camera makers. Their business model is to sell inexpensive on-line photography courses to users so they provide good guidance in the hopes of gaining customers who want to get the most out of a DSLR.
They also seem to provide pretty good reviews of various cameras and up to date news on product releases & problems.
A 6MP camera will be fine, check out the information from DSLR guide on this topic -
HTH. Good luck. Email me if you have specific questions.
I have zero knowledge of programming but I think push notification for home screen bookmarks would be great. Would Apple allow it?
I think that for a lot of people, high ISO is important to take quick pictures, and with the busy life of people, it makes it more convenient. However a busy person wouldn’t have a camera like this.. lol
i just realized those people he has are from harder better faster stronger
Looks cool..

Some of the high contrast and crazy colors is because the film was cross-processed. That means color print film developed in the "wrong" chemicals like for slide processing.
Lomography (derived from the LOMO company name) is a marketing thing to re-spin photography in a counterculture way (like it wasn't done enough in the 1980's, you can see some examples from photo magazines of that period.)(Chemical based photography is 100 years old, so people have been trying it chemically "wrong" occasionally).
Kind of like saying "Nikon-ography or Canon-ography".
Deep depth of field comes from lomographic cameras having f/8 or f/11 as their only apertures (with deep DOF) and the lenses may tend towards wide angle, (more deep DOF).
Lomographic cameras are also based on cheap cameras from the 1960's with plastic lenses. So the clarity, and focus, and contrast of the best special glass (and best special lens coatings) are not in the picture.
You can also use different colored filters in front of the lens, and put vaseline or plastic on a clear filter to get the hazy or dreamlike effect (also use f/8 or f/11 with a wide or fish-eye lens). And also shoot from odd angles.
Once the image is digital from DSLR, then you can use Photoshop or GIMP and manipulate the colors, the contrast, clarity, and the focus, and cut/paste sprocket holes or frame numbers. Then call it "GIMP-ography"
I've never done hot air ballooning but would in a heartbeat. I feel a Nikon moment coming on.
Thank you, spread the word. More 550D videos to come.
Even in my dreams can’t afford of buying this camera lol…
…heck, he even thought of the whole “YouTube” idea first!
I think this one maybe good for you:
The price is much lower than $300 but with quality warrant.
Good luck to you.
If you can pay a bit more than $1000 I would suggest Nikon D90 with is a great semi-pro level camera,
- Great sensor, amazing colors out of the camera
- Auto D-lighting to restore shadowed regions
- Feels great in hand, very comfortable to hold
- The optical viewfinder is bright and big, with great coverage
- AF tracking points are easy to spot and switch to
- Great 320K dots LCD
or if you want under $1000 Canon T1i or Nikon D5000 are good choice.

1:18 ay que no mame ese wey tanta pinche guitarra para esta cancion, pinche farol… mucha pinche guitarra para algo que ni vale la pena, solo un par de acordes.
ther’re fast
I just ordered one, can’t wait.
All of the major brands are good. Choose a brand that appeals to you. Then you have to think about getting a spare battery, what size memory card, if you want an extended warranty, how much you can afford, what size zoom, if you want manual controls, the size of the camera, finding a reliable place to purchase it, and the list goes on and on and on…….
The first thing to realize is that almost any digital camera will take good pictures. If more people would read the manual more than once, they would be able to take better pictures. Usually, the person assumes it is the camera when it could be them not knowing exactly what to do. Just give yourself more photographic knowledge by doing more reading on the internet.
I really believe buying a camera is an individual choice.
The person needs to read alot of reviews on cameras so they can decide on the features that they really want and need.
Go to the store and hold them so you can see if they feel comfortable in your hands. If possible, take some pictures in the store to check the quality of the pictures.
I can only give a suggestion of what to look for in a new digital camera.
Good Luck

why love will tear us apart? thats prolly one of their least good songs. Why not this digital? Why not these days? or any other song?
If you want maximum potential for expansion but with minimum noise then you need to look at a full frame camera with both great resolution and large pixels.
The minimum spec would be the Canon EOS 5DMk2.
It is expensive but has 21 megapixels resolution and a low minimum ISO speed which answers both your requirements.
The EOS 5DMk2 require good lenses to get the best out of it.
If you can tell us a bit more about the kind of art you wish to make we can perhaps advise you on more appropriate or even less expensive kit.
Cheers

Andrew Faris takes pictures of NYC with his Polaroid Camera. I am glad he shares them on nycpp.com .
I doubt an art college will let you use a P&S digital camera for your classes.
Plan on at least a good used 35 mm SLR (Nikon or Canon) with standard zoom lens (you can find them for under $150 on craigslist) … some schools require you to buy a view camera depending upon the level of instruction being provided there.
So, save your money until you can talk to someone in the art department so you don't waste your money on something you will not use in your course work.
It is in school, you will learn to build a portfolio … after all, that is why you are going to I would think. Attending school already knowing everything would be a waste of money too.
It is throughout your education, you will be building your portfolio … not before.
- Yep, I love it to. So proud Of my camera. I have more from the show on FB. take a look
hej, thanks a lot, but pleeaaaase, turn the “ambient” music down, it’s hard to understand what you’re saying…
